11:00 am - PEOPLE POWERED PICK UP - Walk & Clean to Downtown - Everyone in Plattsburgh is invited to leave their homes at 11 am with a disposable grocery bag in hand, walk to downtown and pick up trash as they go. Let's have the cleanest city in the nation!
11:30 am - Walkers Begin to Arrive at the Farmer's Market Pavilion, Durkee St.
12:00 pm - Opening Announcements, Presentation of Green Recognitions & Bag Cutting - Trash from streets deposited in a central bin
12:30 pm Live Music: Natalie Ward Band
Celebrate Earth Puppets - Jeff Cochran, Kim LaClair (Red Hummingbird Foundation) - Join the dance!
2:00 pm Kid's Play Performance: Erin McGill and Peg McCartney's first and second grade classes from Bailey Avenue School.
2:15-2:35 pm Live Music: Original Earth Songs by Pat Ostrander
2:35 pm Live Music: Natalie Ward Band
3:30-4 pm - DJ D:Vice will keep the crowd entertained while final pickup begins.
THROUGHOUT THE DAY
Kid Events: *Face Painting, *Making Recycled Planting Pots / Seed Planting, *Take a tree home, *Children's Dream for Plattsburgh, *Bike safety, *Old T-Shirt Reusable Bag Making, *Worm composting, *Story Hour, *Decorate Recycle Barrels
Information Booths and Crafters: Various service and earth oriented organizations, individuals and crafters in the area will have tables set up in the pavilion.
Food: Eat a light meal or snack provided by a local vendor or grab a meal from one of the many downtown restaurants.
