This is a grassroots initiative intended to provide a common week for the people of the Plattsburgh North Country region of New York:
*To better recognize, use, and support the amazing local, sustainable, environmentally minded community that currently exists.
*To strengthen and create new networks of mutual support between these groups and individuals in ways that will expand this community's autonomy and collaboration.
*To bring greater awareness of the needs and benefits of developing a stronger local, green, and sustainable based economy, social network, governance and culture.
*To educate and foster the next generation of community and environmental caretakers/guardians who will work to increasingly better meet the needs of all in the local community in ways that best benefit our global community.
